Carencro Home Burns To The Ground

Everyone is safe, but a massive house fire has left a two story home in ashes as the entire structure burned to the ground.

Fire departments from Lafayette, Carencro, Scott, Cankton and Prairie responded to 1113 Rue Des Etoiles. The firefighters were attempting to find where the fire started when they realized it was in the attic. The roof began to collapse and firefighters then had to evacuate.

The two story home owned by Ms. Dawn Laviolette was completely destroyed, but her and her daughter escaped safely. The cause is still under investigation.
