Court Appointed Special Advocates, or CASA, is a program dedicated to children who have been abused or neglected.

When a child is taken from their home due to abuse, a CASA representative can be appointed to that child, so that the child's wishes, needs and concerns can be addressed from their standpoint.

This coming Halloween night, October 31, 2017, CASA will be holding a fundraiser at Agave Downtown with 30 percent of the proceeds benefiting the CASA program.

Kids will be treated to candy and fun from 5:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.

Kelsey Mason joined Acadiana's Morning News to talk about "Treat The Children" and their other upcoming fundraiser, "6th Annual High School Basketball Jamboree November 6-9 at Earl K Long Gym.
