Catch The Christmas Fun This Weekend

Due to inclement weather recently a number of Christmas parades were cancelled but Santa won't be deterred!

The folks with the Kiwanis Club in St. Martinville have made arrangements with Santa and his elves to brighten everyone's day with an appearance in the rescheduled Christmas parade there.  This Sunday, December 15, the St. Martinville Christmas parade will roll at 2:00pm with line-up scheduled for 1:00pm on Main Street.  Anyone wishing to participate in the St. Martinville Parade can call George Choplin at 394-9767.  The deadline to register for the St. Martinville parade is 5pm Friday 12/13 so don't hesitate.

Over in Delcambre the Christmas boat parade will take place this Saturday 12/14 but the Department of Transportation and Development advises you to plan an alternate route if you plan to drive through Delcambre on LA 14.  The drawbridge on LA 14 will be opening periodically between 4:00pm and 8:00pm to accommodate boat traffic during the parade so you may experience delays if driving.
