23-year-old Terrance Jones has been arrested after allegedly trying to throw bleach in his ex-girlfriend's face and for allegedly trying to choke her of front of the children.

Eunice Police Department Deputy Chief Varden Guillory says it began when Jones went to the hospital for a stab wound to his left hand. Officers say Jones called them, saying his ex-girlfriend had stabbed him after refusing to give him back his cell phone.

As officers investigated, though, they learned that Jones and his ex-girlfriend had broken up and he had moved out of the home a month ago. Guillory says Jones went to the house and was told several times to leave, finally leaving but returning minutes later.

That's when, according to the woman and the children, Jones attacked her, then left. Officers say the woman had bruises on her neck.

Guillory says the woman and children also told police that Jones cut himself with the knife but blamed it on her, to get her into trouble.

After Jones was treating for his wound, he was placed into the Eunice City Jail. 27th Judicial District Judge Ellis Daigle has set Jones' bond at $20,500.00. Jones faces the following charges:

  • Domestic abuse battery by strangulation
  • Aggravated battery
  • Home Invasion
  • Unauthorized entry of an inhabited dwelling
  • Entering after being forbidden
