When qualifying for office ended last Friday, Scott Police Chief Chad Leger faced no opposition, and so he will continue as that town's head police officer.

Leger joined "Nathan and Bernie in the Mornings" to talk about the fact that no one else signed up to challenge him this election cycle.

Leger says , "I'm very humbled, as well as thankful that we had no opposition.  It just shows that the hard work we have put forth over the last almost 12 years is what the people of Scott are looking for and the safety and quality of life that we are trying to provide to them, that they are very happy with that.  It's very humbling."

He says he is please with the results.  He says it's really their "evaluation".  He adds that every four years is an opportunity for the public to replace elected officials if the people don't like what they are doing.
