Chase Daniel

Quarterback Chase Daniel has agreed to a three-year deal with the Kansas city Chiefs.

Daniel, an unrestricted free agent, will leave the New Orleans Saints, where he was the back-up quarterback to Drew Brees over the last three seasons, and head to Kansas City, where he will serve in the same capacity to the newly acquired Alex Smith.

In three season with the Saints, Daniel played sparingly, completing 7-of-9 passes, for 55 yards.

The 26-year old Daniel, who signed with the Washington Redskins, as an undrafted free agent in 2009, before joining the Saints, played his college football at Missouri, where he threw for 12,515 career yards, and finished fourth in the Heisman Trophy voting in 2007.
