Chef Pat Mould visited 'Mornings With Ken and Bernie' today with praises for New Orleans and Lafayette restaurants and an invitation to one of the South's premier culinary events.  According to Mould, 11 New Orleans restaurants are in the running for nominations from the James Beard Foundation.  Mould said,

In addition to the New Orleans eateries one of Lafayette's newest, The French Press is up for a James Beard Foundation award for the second year in a row.  Owner/chef Justin Girouard is in the running for Best Chef in the South.  It's great to see Lafayette and Louisiana having nominees in the mix.  The awards gala awards will be held May 6th in New York city.

On Monday March 4th the Acadiana Culinary Classic will be held at the Cajundome and Chef Mould had details,

It's a fundraiser for Hearts of Hope which was previously known as Stuller Place.  The aim of Hearts of Hope is to provide help to victims of sexual assault.    This is the largest culinary event in the South with 11 different categories.
