Chef Pat Mould joined 'Mornings With Ken and Bernie ' today and discussed the "Iberia Best Life" initiative.  The initiative was developed with a grant from Blue Cross Blue Shield of Louisiana through the Iberia Industrial Development Foundation.  According to Chef Mould,

The initiative is to encourage people in Iberia Parish to develop a healthy lifestyle.  I signed on as executive chef for the initiative with the main ingredient for my recipes being seafood.

Chef Mould noted,

We're the largest producer of seafood in the lower 48 states with 40 percent of the nation's seafood originating in the Gulf of Mexico.  It's estimated that $300 million dollars worth of seafood produces a billion dollar impact on the state.

The first recipe from the initiative can be found on  It's a recipe for seafood chili just in time for upcoming cooler weather.
