Microchipping of Pets In St. Tammany Parish
COVINGTON, La. (AP) — The St. Tammany Parish Department of Animal Services is offering free microchipping of dogs and cats on Saturday.
Animal Services will chip up to four animals per resident. Proof of residency is required.
Officials said in a news release that using the technology and keeping registration current is the best way to ensure the return of a lost pet.
Saturday's event, set from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., will be held at the animal shelter at 31078 Louisiana 36 east of Abita Springs.
