A mother and her two children admit to embezzling thousands of dollars from the government. Alberta Murphy, along with her son Learrick and her daughter Thelma, all of Church Point, cashed Retirement and Security Income checks intended for their dead uncle. Each of the three say they forged the uncle's signature after his death over ten years ago and cashed the checks. The Murphy's stole $47,198.00. Each of them face a maximum of ten years in prison, a fine of up to $250,000, or both.
