A Church Point man driving down St. Mary Street in Scott on Sunday was pulled over after the officer noticed loud music coming from his car in violation of a Scott ordinance.  The officer ran a check on 25-year-old Joshua Istre and learned his driver's license was suspended.

While the officer was checking Istre's identity through the Lafayette Parish Sheriff's Office, he found out the man was wanted on two warrants from Lafayette Parish.

On further inspection of Istre's vehicle he found a cellophane bag containing 8.4 grams of marijuana, 3 packages of cigarette papers, a black grinder with marijuana residue inside and a glass pipe with burnt marijuana residue.

He was placed under arrest for the existing warrants along with possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
