Civil Service Board Recommends Suspension For New Iberia Fire Chief
NEW IBERIA, La. (KPEL) -- New Iberia Fire Chief Ronald Bourque is reportedly facing a five-day suspension without pay amid allegations he dodged a subpoena for a civil service hearing.
The New Iberia Fire and Police Civil Service Board recommended the suspension, according to KATC TV-3.
New Iberia Mayor Hilda Curry must approve the suspension, the television station reported. She told KATC that she "will look at everything before making a decision."
KATC reached out to Bourque at his office, but he was unavailable for comment.
