Columbia Man Dies In Crash With Semi

MONROE, La. (AP) — State police are investigating a two-vehicle crash that left a 27-year-old Columbia man dead.

The accident happened around 8:29 a.m. Tuesday on La. Highway 557 about two miles south of Highway 34 in Ouachita Parish.

Troopers say pickup driven by Dustin Trey Hollis crossed the center line and struck the side and then the rear tractor axle of a southbound 18-wheeler.

Hollis was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the 18-wheeler was not injured.
