Not four days after a short stint in the Lafayette Parish Correctional Center, Lafayette City Marshal Brian Pope now has a complaint filed against him.

Our news partners at KATC say the 15th Judicial District Attorney's Office is investigating it, but no more details have been provided.

Pope's brief time at LPCC was after Judge Jules Edwards found him guilty of withholding public records sought by The Independent in their bid to prove that he used his elected position to help Scott Police Chief Chad Leger in his campaign for sheriff.
