The House of Representatives is back today to kick off the second session of the 112th Congress.  Congressman Charles Boustany of Lafayette tells "Mornings With Ken and Bernie" there are many items on the agenda that need immediate attention.

One of the major issues yet to be finalized among Congressional members is working to get a longer extension of the Payroll tax-cut extension.   Boustany says the extension needs to be pass so that hard working people can continue to get a break.  Boustany says now is not the time to take away from people's paychecks.

Boustany says he is also keeping a close eye on the debt ceiling, and he is hoping to make major strides in combating the healthcare reform measure passed by Congress, when a long-term care items comes up for funding tomorrow in the committee he chairs.  He cahirs the House Ways and Means Committee.
