Boustany Will Run For Re-Election

Congressman Charles Boustany, R-LA, has announced his intention to run for re-election for his 3rd Congressional District seat.

Primary elections for the upcoming congressional election will take place November 4.

A retired cardiovascular surgeon and Lafayette native, Boustany has served in congress since 2005 and currently sits on the Committee on Ways and Means.

Boustany told KATC:

A lot of attention is being paid to elections around the country and certainly in the state. We have some high profile races, but I also am seeking re-election to US Congress in November. I've been running around the district, touching base with folks and addressing issues, but I wanted to make that statement quite clear. - Congressman Charles Boustany
