With less than 24 hours to the start of voting in the run-off election for the Third District Congressional seat, Congressman Charles Boustany joined 'Mornings With Ken and Bernie' today.  In addition to saluting the veterans who served in World War II after the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor Boustany discussed a number of topics.

  • Tomorrow's run-off election
  • Medicare
  • Obamacare affecting businesses of all sizes
  • Unemployment

On Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithners' comments about the approaching fiscal cliff Boustany said,

I saw this quote from Geithner that just stunned me. It basically said the White House, the President is willing to go off the fiscal cliff and let all these tax increases hit every aspect of the American economy if he can't get his increase in rates which will not solve our fiscal problem.  It's basically hitting small businesses at a time when these small businesses are struggling with uncertainty.  They're struggling with a high tax burden and the specter of Obamacare about to hit.
