The Geaux Free TEA Party of Lafayette is holding a rally Thursday at the South Regional Library on Johnston Street, with Rep. John Fleming as a featured speaker for the event.

"Lafayette is a wonderful place," says Congressman Fleming. "I love Lafayette for its conservatism, but also being in Acadiana the linkage with our French Cajun heritage, the great food that goes along with that. So it's just a wonderful place and I look forward to every opportunity to come to Lafayette and visit with my friends."

The theme of the meeting is "Defund And Repeal Obamacare...It Is Not Over." Rep. Fleming, Vice-Chairman of the GOP Doctors Caucus, is an avid opponent of Obamacare and says "There is nothing good about Obamacare."

Obamacare...simply put, is the government takeover of the healthcare of this nation...And, while we have had problems in our healthcare system, they have mainly been as a result of previous attempts for government to take over healthcare, which has created aberations in the system. It's required insurance costs to go up and coverages to go down. In response to that, what Obamacare does is make the problem even worse by putting the remaining part of our healthcare system under government control and as such, of course, we get less access to healthcare, we have millions of Americans walking around with cards that entitle them to healthcare, but their access will only be to waiting lines.

Rep. Fleming says they will also address other questions, such as: "Why are Democrats now anxious in many cases to begin the dismantlement of Obamacare?" and "Why still nearly 60% of Americans hate Obamacare?"

With the recent news of additional arrests in the Boston Marathon Bombing, he also discussed comments he recently made about radical imams in American mosques. He cited a study which says that 80% of mosques in the U.S.A. are teaching jihad warfare and Islamic supremacism.

When you have the vast majority of terrorism, both domestically and internationally against Americans, that comes from one religious group that makes up less than two percent of the American population, there's really a disproportionality there and we need to acknowledge that, we need to understand that and we need to deal with that.

The town hall meeting begins at 6:00 p.m., with the doors opening at 5:30 p.m. To listen to Rep. Fleming's interview on "Your Afternoon Drive Home," CLICK BELOW:
