Third District Congressman Jeff Landry visited 'Mornings With Ken and Bernie' today and described his meeting with President Obama.  Landry said the President's visit to Southeast Louisiana will probably speed up recovery efforts from Hurricane Isaac and should stress the fact that the oil industry is an important aspect of national security.

Landry said the meeting with the President went well and added,

"I appreciate President Obama coming down to see the damage first-hand.  The sad part about the flooding in LaPlace is that many of the people that were affected by Isaac moved to area that had never flooded before after their homes in New Orleans were destroyed by Hurricane Katrina."

Landry noted that the meeting with President Obama was another opportunity to stress the importance of drilling and the Louisiana oil industry to national security.
