Conque Resigns From Chamber To Run For Council

According to the Independent Former District 6 City-Parish Councilman Bruce Conque has resigned his position with the Greater Lafayette Chamber of Commerce to run for his old seat on the Council. Conque served on the Council from 2004 through 2007 and resigned to become vice-president of marketing for the Lafayette Chamber of Commerce.

Conque spoke to the Independent and said,

This is an opportune time for me to step aside and allow Chamber leadership to do long term strategic planning for it's One Acadiana Regional Initiative.

The election for City-Parish Council is next fall.
