Construction Happening In New Iberia On Friday

Sewer repairs will be the reason for construction work happening on Friday, October 2.

The following lanes will be closed on Lewis Street between the railroad tracks and Park Street:

• Outside lanes on Lewis Street from railroad tracks west to Park Street, with interior lanes remaining open, and
• Inside lanes on Lewis Street from Park Street east to railroad tracks, with outside lanes remaining open.

The only timetable given for the day was that these closures will “take just one day,” according to New Iberia Mayor Hilda Curry’s office.

Access to businesses will be maintained. Please follow the posted construction signs.
