A Caddo Parish judge is sending another man to Louisiana's Death Row. Judge Scott Crichton sentenced Eric Dale Mickelson to death for the 2007 murder of 86-year-old Charles Martin. Martin was strangled to death and his remains were scattered throughout Caddo Parish. Mickelson's attorney David Price, says his legal team is disappointed with the verdict. Price says he'll work with another group of lawyers in an attempt to get Mickelson a new trial. He says there's evidence Mickelson was not mentally competent to stand trial.
Assistant District Attorney Lea Hall says justice was swift and deserved. Mickelson also reportedly confessed to killing Kristi O'Pry in 1996, but her remains were never found.
