Council Votes on Charter Extension Request

The Lafayette City Parish Council will vote tonight on whether to give the Charter Commission more time to work on proposals before it heads to voters. 

Yesterday, councilman Jay Castille told KPEL News he felt the board would deny that extension and councilman Don Bertrand disagreed.  It's expected to be a tight vote.
