A couple that fled the state to keep their pet monkeys from being taken away are being asked to come back.

State Wildlife & Fisheries agents are asking Jim and Donita Clark to come back home to DeRidder. Agents say they want to inspect their four capuchin monkeys and their cages.

The Clarks left for Texas, where they've been living in their mobile home. State law says exotic pets that are a danger can be confiscated, but agents say if the animals are well-tempered, well-treated and have secure cages they won't be taken in. The Clarks, however, are still skeptical.
