Crash Claims Life Of Evergreen Man

56-year-old Kenneth Howard of Evergreen has died after crashing his SUV before 9:00 a.m. Monday morning.

La. State Police Troop I spokesman Brooks David says Howard was driving west on LA 361 when, for unknown reasons, he crossed the centerline and ran off the other side of the road into a ditch, striking a culvert. He was pronounced dead on the scene.

Trooper David says Howard was properly restrained and routine toxicology samples have been obtained for testing.
