Police say the crash happened Sunday Morning around 7:30 when James Loniello of Westlake was riding his motorcycle east on Highway 379.  An 18-wheeler had stopped at a railroad crossing in accordance with state law and had started to accelerate when two vehicles passed.  The first got by, but the second, driven by a 16-year-old juvenile, hit Loniello head on.

He was wearing an approved motorcycle helmet, but was pronounced dead at the scene by the coroner's office.

The juvenile only sustained minor injuries and was charged with improper passing, but more charges could be coming.

Police remind you to please look for bikers on the road and please be attentive at all time.
