Crash Takes The Life Of Maurice Man

Louisiana State Police were called out to highway 92 near Pressley Road around 6:00 o'clock Tuesday night after a motorcycle was clipped, and the operator, Brandon Demette, died at hte scene.

Spokesman Master Trooper Brooks David says the back of Demette's motorcycle was clipped by a truck driven by 57-year-old Sheldon Forest of Duson.

It is unknown if Demette was impaired when the truck hit him, but routine toxicology tests are pending.  State Police say Forest was tested, and the results showed he was not impaired.

The crash happened as Forest was turning his truck onto Highway 92.

The crash remains under investigation.
