Crews Removing Power Lines From Bayou Amy Near Henderson

Sportsmen planning on traveling through St. Martin Parish Waterways should avoid Bayou Amy this evening and possibly tomorrow.

According to our news partner KATC, the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries has closed Bayou Amy while crews remove live power lines from the waterway.

The area closed to waterway traffic will be from Interstate 10 to the George Dupuis Bridge (Potato Shed Road Bridge), north of LA Highway 352 in Henderson..

Uncertainty to how long it make take to clear the downed power lines, has crews expecting work to possibly be complete by Monday morning.
