25 year old Tremayne LeBlanc of Crowley is dead after a multi-vehicle crash on I-10. Leblanc was driving on I-10 westtbound near Egan when his car crossed the median for unknown reasons. LeBlanc's car hit a Volkswagen SUV driven by Derick Kyere of Humble, Texas. Leblanc's car then hit a Dodge Caravan driven by 33 year old Kevin Keele of Huntington, Texas and a tractor-trailer driven by Clarence Capps of Empire, Alabama.

Even though LeBlanc was wearing a seatbelt he was pronounced dead at the scene. LeBlanc's passenger Tyler Daigle sustained moderate injuries and was taken to a local hospital. Derick Kyere was wearing a seat belt and sustained moderate injuries. Clarence Capps was restrained but received moderate injuries and was taken to a local hospital. Kevin Keele and his passenger 44 year old Jackie Hewitt were wearing seatbelts and sustained moderate injuries and were taken to a local hospital.

It's not know if impairment was a factor but routine toxicology samples were taken from and LeBlanc and sent to the State Police Lab. All other drivers passed chemical tests and were not impaired.

The crash remains under investigation.
