Crowley Alleged Kidnapper Arrested

The young Crowley woman who fought off her would-be kidnapper last week can rest peacefully now that her alleged attacker is in jail.

Chief K.P. Gibson says 50-year-old Gary James Jennings quickly became the focus of the investigation when it was learned he owned a black truck similar to the one the victim recalled following her on her way home. Jennings was working offshore when police made the connection, but authorities were able to arrange for him to return to port in Cameron Parish.
