Crowley Caregiver Arrested For Allegedly Stealing From Elderly Person

51-year-old Cynthia Gauthreaux is accused of stealing from the person she was caring for.

Crowley Police say they got a complaint that a caregiver was taking funds from the elderly person, and once they investigated, they found several thousand dollars were stolen. Chief K.P. Gibson says Cynthia Gauthreaux of Crowley did so by tricking the victim into releasing the funds.

Gauthreaux now sits in the Acadia Parish Jail on Felony Theft and Crimes Against the Elderly.
