Crowley Crash Leaves One Teen Dead – Another Critical

At 4:00pm Friday Louisiana State Police investigated a two vehicle crash on LA 92 in Acadia Parish. A passenger in one vehicle,13 year old Halle Thompson of Crowley was wearing a seat belt and was pronounced dead at the scene by the Acadia Parish Coroner. The unidentified teen driver, who was not wearing a seat belt was taken to a local hospital where she is listed in critical condition.

The crash occurred as the driver attempted to turn on LA 92 and her car was struck by a pickup truck driven by 39 year old Chad Breaux of Morse. Breaux was wearing a seatbelt and suffered minor injuries

Impairment is not suspected. Breaux voluntarily submitted to a breath test was determined not be impaired. The crash remains under investigation.
