21-year-old Kevin Wilson and 17-year-old Gregory Winbush Jr., both of Crowley, are now behind bars, allegedly responsible for a rash of criminal activity during the past several months.

Around 5:00 a.m. Christmas Eve morning, Crowley Police Chief K.P. Gibson says officers responded to the 1200 block of Lurose Drive regarding a vehicle which was stolen out of Lafayette. “As the officer’s arrived, they observed a subject enter the residence. The officer’s immediately set a perimeter on the residence and observed 2 subjects attempting to flee through a back door. Both subjects fled back into the residence when they observed officers,” stated Chief KP Gibson. He says they caught the two suspects allegedly trying to hide from them in the attic.

Authorities say they eventually found a second vehicle which was stolen out of Abbeville at the home, as well as other property from the two stolen vehicles inside the house.

Wilson was arrested for theft of a motor vehicle and unauthorized entry of an inhabited dwelling. Additional charges were filed on Wilson for crimes which have been investigated during the last several months. Wilson was booked on multiple arrest warrants for armed robbery, illegal use of a weapon, aggravated criminal damage to property and unauthorized use of an access card. Probation and Parole has also placed a hold on Wilson for violation of his probation.

Winbush Jr, was also charged with unauthorized entry of an inhabited dwelling as well as multiple counts of illegal possession of stolen property.

A third person identified as Allegra Wilson, 18 of Crowley was charged with obstruction of justice as she concealed information involving the investigation.
