Crowley Police Chief K.P. Gibson says a man from their town was booked with burglary after police say they found him breaking into a local business in the 1500 block of Parkerson Avenue in the early morning hours of December 30th.

Chief Gibson says their office got a call about an alarm activation at the business, and when officers showed up on the scene they quickly set up a perimeter around the business.  While they were checking things out, Gibson says, they realized the business was being burglarized, and that the suspect was still inside the business.

Crowley Police arrested 28-year-old Larryl Fisher, and he was booked in the Acadia Parish Jail on a charge of burglary.  Gibson says Fisher is no stranger to crime, as police records show that he has been arrested and convicted on numerous ocassions for burglary.

Chief Gibson says, “We will research the criminal record of Larryl Fisher to confirm that he qualifies as a habitual offender under state law. It is our intention to request that he be tried as a habitual offender”.
