CROWLEY, La. (KPEL) -- Police have arrested four people, including one teen, for their alleged involvement in a "crime spree" throughout the city.

According to Crowley Police Chief K.P. Gibson, police responding to a burglary alarm at a local business Wednesday morning conducted a traffic stop on the four men as they were driving down a side street away from the business.

Three of the suspects were allegedly responsible for a breaking into the home of an elderly resident over the weekend, Gibson said.

"The crime spree was hard on our department," Gibson said. "Crimes against the elderly and children affect us hard."

Police arrested:

  • 23-year-old Dillan Emerson on four counts of vehicle burglary, one count of felony theft of a vehicle, one count of felony criminal damage to property, three counts of simple burglary of a business, one count of home invasion, and two counts of contributing to the delinquency of a juvenile.
  • 23-year-old Jesus Broussard on one count of home invasion, three counts of simple burglary of a business, and one count of contributing to the delinquency of a juvenile.
  • 22-year-old Bryon Istre on four counts of vehicle burglary and one count of contributing to the delinquency of a juvenile.
  • A 16-year-old juvenile on one count of home invasion and three counts of burglary of a business
