Crowley Police Investigate Evening Shooting

Police in Crowley are investigating a shooting that happened just before 5:00 p.m. Monday.

Crowley Police Chief K.P. Gibson says it happened at the corner of West 6th St. and Western Ave. in Crowley. He says one person was taken to a local hospital with a gunshot wound to the upper torso.

Police have not released the condition of the victim.

"Information has been obtained that the suspect was seen fleeing the scene in a black or dark-colored four-door vehicle believed to possibly be a Toyota," Gibson says.

No motive has been established for the shooting.
