Crowley Police Cheif K.P. Gibson's office has released the name of the victim in this weekend's homicide in the 1000 block of West 7th Street.

Gibson says Kenneth Drake was the victim, and they have an arrest warrant out for Damaris Harmon for first degree murder.

Gibson says,

“Today we are releasing the identity of the suspect in this murder and ask for the public to assist us in bringing him to justice”.

Gibson says Harmon, a black male, is 21-years-old, 6'3" and weighs about 160 pounds.  He has short hair.

Harmon's last known address is 415 West Andrus in Crowley.

Gibson adds,

“This was not a random act, as our investigation shows that Harmon entered the residence with force and sought the victim in the residence. Once the shooting occurred, Harmon fled the scene in a dark colored SUV. Harmon should be considered armed and dangerous”.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crowley Police at 783-1234 or Crime Stoppers of Acadia Parish at 789-TIPS (8477). All callers will remain anonymous and can receive up to a $1,000 cash reward.
