Victim Dies In Crowley Shooting (UPDATED)

Update: 21-year-old Ladracus Miller of Crowley has died from last Thursday's shooting at Kathy Apartments.

The suspect in the case, Alex Senegal, is now charged with 2nd Degree Murder. He remains in the Acadia Parish Jail.

Although one arrest has been made, detectives are encouraging anyone with information on the shooting to call Crime Stoppers of Acadia Parish at 789-TIPS.

A person is in critical condition after a shooting shortly before noon on Thursday in Crowley.

Acadia Parish Sheriff K.P. Gibson says it happened at Kathy Apartments located at 100 Kathy-Meadows Lane in Crowley. Investigators say two black males got out of a mid-sized white SUV and one of them allegedly shot the victim before they both got away. The SUV is believed to have taken damage to a rear brake light area and is still in the Crowley area.

Sheriff's deputies are trying to identify the motive.

“It is early in this investigation. Our deputies are on scene and working this case to bring the responsible persons to justice” stated Sheriff KP Gibson.
