Crowley Shooting Suspect In Custody, Responding Officer Injured In Traffic Accident

CROWLEY, La. (KPEL) -- Police in Crowley are investigating a shooting that occurred Sunday morning. At the same time, officers are trying to figure out what caused an accident involving an officer who was responding to that shooting.

According to our news partners at KATC TV-3, the shooting happened at about 9:30 a.m. The victim is at a local hospital in serious condition, police said, and one person is being detained pending an investigation.

At least two people were injured in the accident involving the police officer, officials said. There was major damage to the vehicles, and both drivers received moderate injuries.
