Two billion dollars.

That's how much money American consumers are expected to spend on Cyber Monday. After shopping in stores on Black Friday for great deals and bargains, shoppers turn their attention to the internet, where they can purchase hot-button items for often huge discounts.

Brand Buzz's Jaci Russo, who sat down with Carol Ross on the Afternoon Drive Home Show Monday, says the internet has not only changed the way we communicate, but it has also changed the way we shop.

"It used to be all about Black Friday, but in 2005 there was a trend that appeared where people would come back from the Thanksgiving holiday and shop at their offices on Monday," Jaci says.

"And so to capitalize on our natural inclination to shop online today, we created this whole fake holiday called Cyber Monday, and it will pas $2 billion today in shopping," Jaci says.
