The war of words continues in the Lt. Governor's race. Both incumbent Jay Dardenne and challenger Billy Nungesser are running negative TV ads about each other. Dardenne's new attack ads accuse Nungesser of profiting from the suffering brought on by the BP oil spill. But Nungesser disputes Dardenne's claim, saying as Plaquemines Parish President, all of his businesses were placed into a blind trust and he did not personally profit from BP. In his Ads, he ties Dardenne to pay raises the incumbent supported while he was a member of the state legislature, including pay hikes that Nungesser claims went to the Lt. Governor's office.
