This week on "Wingin' It Wednesday," panelists Warren Caudle and Carol Ross joined "Mornings with Ken and Bernie" to discuss the U.S. Sen. David Vitter's decision to run for governor in 2015, as well as the Obama Administration's foreign policy.

Here's what the panel had to say:

1. Senator David Vitter has announced his decision to run for the office of governor of the great state of Louisiana.  What do you think of his chances, and would he make a good choice for Louisiana?

Warren Caudle started us off:

It’s no surprise that Senator Vitter has been saying for quite some time that he had aspirations to become governor. Yesterday, I was at a meeting for the Acadiana Republican Women that had about 60 people, and when the announcement was made that Vitter announced his candidacy the room fell absolutely silent. It’s a sign of the times that a lot of these politicians today totally ignore the grassroots people. It’s all corporations.

Carol Ross Concluded:

I think his chances are excellent. He’s a solid conservative. He has not ignored the state. He doesn’t just come down every 6 years. He does interviews on KPEL every week. He does town halls. He’s done several recently in Lafayette. I think John Kennedy and Vitter would make a great team to clean up the finances in this state.

2. With Christian missionary Kenneth Bae being held in North Korea for more than a year and a supposed confession video being released by the regime, along with Pastor Saeed Abedini, an American citizen who has been trapped in the brutal Iranian prison system for more than a year, why do you think the Obama Administration has not done more to extricate them?

Carol stated:

Who knows. Our president, in a recent 17-page interview, calls the post-bin Laden version of Al Qaeda the “junior varsity”. This is bizarre. Al Qaeda is a diverse and deadly group, and they’re not going away. One can only hope that there’s some negotiating going on behind the scenes.

Warren stated:

I have absolutely no love for the Obama Administration whatssoever, but I will say that it’s always been the United States policy that they don’t do diplomatic negotiations over people held in jail. At any given time, you’ve probably got 4 or 5 hundred people held in jails in different countries around the world. Show me a period in history when we negotiated with somebody over a private American citizen. It has been absolutely U.S. law not to pay ransoms.
We don’t have diplomatic relations with Iran. How can you carry on negotiations when you don’t have diplomatic relations?
