David Vitter Says He Has $3.5 Million On Hand For Gubernatorial Race

Senator David Vitter announced his campaign for governor in January of 2014 and has since raised $4 million with $3.5 million cash on hand. 2,500 in-state donors account for 88 percent of the contributions.

Vitter said,

I've been incredibly honored and humbled by the support we've been receiving since my announcement. Louisiana faces a number of challenges, and I'm excited to meet them head on. This outpouring of support is incredibly encouraging as we tackle these issues with Louisiana common sense.
