Decomposed Body, KATC
Decomposed Body, KATC

Acadia Parish Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Maxine Trahan says the badly decomposed body of a man was found near Hawks Road and Providence Highway, according to our news partners at KATC.

Police are investigating this as a homicide. The parish coroner is telling KATC that the body has been likely there for less than a week. It was found by a boy riding a four-wheeler in a wooded area near Rayne. Hawks Road serves as an entrance for an oil-well.

The remains will be sent to Lake Charles. We’ll have more information for you when it becomes available.
