Death Of St. Mary Parish Man Ruled A Homicide

The death of 54-year-old Jose A. Pineiro-Perez is now being ruled a homicide, according to the St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office.

Spokesperson Traci Landry says Jose A. Pineiro-Perez was found dead at his home on Dottie's Lane in Ricohoc in September of 2014. The autopsy results came back on December 30, 2014 from St. Mary Parish Coroner Dr. F.H. Metz.

The cause of death has not been released. Authorities continue to investigate.
