KIEV, Ukraine (AP) — Officials in eastern Ukraine say at least eight civilians have been killed by fighting and shelling in two cities held by separatist militants.

Authorities in Luhansk say five people were killed and 15 wounded by overnight artillery strikes.

Three were killed in clashes in Donetsk.

Meanwhile, Dutch and Australian police are headed today to the site in eastern Ukraine where a Malaysia Airlines jetliner was shot down, killing 298 people.
