3rd District Congressman Jeff Landry joined "Mornings With Ken & Bernie" to talk about today's vote in the U.S. House concerning extending the debt ceiling.

Landry tells KPEL that it is time for America's leaders to have a serious conversation about entitlements including Social Security, Medicaid and Medicare.  Landry says these issues can no longer be ignored.

On another topic, Landry says he is understanding of the fact that some residents of some areas that were threatened by flooding are wondering why they had to evacuate at all when flood waters did not come near their homes.  Landry says he is glad that federal, state and local officials were prepared enough to get citizens out of the way of danger, even though most people did not get flooding in their homes in some areas.
