Deep Recession Could Be Coming – How Does This Impact Election?

The CBO is predicting that there could be a deep recession in the coming year if something is not done in Congress to keep us from going over the fiscal cliff.  That cliff would be the mandatory cuts that were put in place by Congress combined with the expiration of the Bush-era tax cuts for Americans.

In addition, the CBO is predicting that unemployment will stay above 8 percent for the remainder of the year.

This prediction by this non-partisan group could impact the election or could be totally ignored by both sides.  What do you think?
