A State Inspector General's report reveals an instructor at the Delgado Community College was paid $6000 to teach six classes -- which she did not teach -- and with the full knowledge and support of her supervisor. The report says instructor Gay Dawson was given the contracts as compensation for extra work she performed in previous semesters. In a written response to the report, Delgado officials say while Dawson didn't teach the classes claimed in her contracts, she performed other work for the pay.
