The DesOrmeaux Foundation, Inc is dedicated to defending human life at all stages of development, born and unborn. That is, the infant in the womb, the elderly, the handicapped, the homeless and all who are threatened by our present culture of death.

The DesOrmeaux Foundation Baby Bottle Campaign is now underway, and you are encouraged to participate.  The Baby Bottle Campaign is an easy way for you to donate to the foundation: simply pick up a baby bottle at a participating location, fill out the paperwork contained in the bottle, and return it to the location. The foundation will take your donation and put it towards their mission, and the bottle will be put to good use with a needy family.

Several churches across Acadiana are participating, along with some private businesses (I saw several bottles at St. Mary Magdalen Church in Abbeville!).

The DesOrmeaux Foundation has 3 ministries:

  • The Pregnancy Resource Center, which has serviced over 13,000 calls from women.
  • The St. Marguerite d'Youville Maternity Home, which provides shelter, food, clothing and personal support to homeless expecting mothers.
  • The Baby & Me Boutique, a re-sale store that offers free diapers and other necessary baby items to residents and clients. The boutique is also open to the general public for retail sales at greatly reduced prices.

Even if you don't find a Baby Bottle Campaign location, you can still help the organization by donating directly:
